- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
All expenses of the state librarian and the other personnel of the state library shall be certified and paid in the same manner as expenses and personnel are paid in state departments or divisions.
