  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

If such railroad company shall fail to make such changes as shall be directed by the county commission, within thirty days after such order shall have been made and such notice given as provided in section 229.390, then any circuit court, or other court having jurisdiction of such causes, shall enforce obedience to such orders by mandamus or by other proper proceedings.
