1. The term “head of the nurse licensing board” as referred to in section 335.390 of this compact shall mean the executive director of the Missouri state board of nursing.

2. This compact is designed to facilitate the regulation of nurses, and does not relieve employers from complying with statutorily imposed obligations.

  • Executive director: a qualified individual employed by the board as executive secretary or otherwise to administer the provisions of this chapter under the board's direction. See Missouri Laws 335.016
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • state board: the state board of nursing. See Missouri Laws 335.016

3. This compact does not supersede existing state labor laws.
