  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

The provisions of sections 376.431 to 376.442 are applicable to all insurance policies and contracts issued or provided by an insurance company, health services corporation or health maintenance organization on a group or group-type basis covering persons as employees of employers or as members of unions or associations.
