Terms Used In Missouri Laws 41.010
- hereafter: means the time after the statute containing it takes effect. See Missouri Laws 1.020
- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

It is the intent of this chapter, which shall hereafter be known as the “Missouri Military Code”, to provide for the state militia and for the organization, equipment, regulations and functions thereof to conform as nearly as practicable to the laws and regulations for the formation and government of the Armed Forces of the United States.
