Upon a plea of guilty or a finding of guilt for a felony sexual offense in which computers, computer equipment, computer devices, cellular telephones, or other electronic devices were seized, the court may, in addition to imposition of any penalties provided by law, order the defendant to reimburse the state or local law enforcement agency for the costs incurred by such agency in the examination of any computer, computer equipment, computer devices, cellular telephones, or other electronic devices seized. Such costs shall include the reasonable costs of performing examinations of the seized electronic devices. Each law enforcement agency may establish a schedule of such costs; except that, the court may order the costs reduced if the court determines that the costs are excessive.
