Terms Used In Missouri Laws 80.630

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Property: includes real and personal property. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • Prosecute: To charge someone with a crime. A prosecutor tries a criminal case on behalf of the government.
  • Trustee: A person or institution holding and administering property in trust.

The trustee shall, as soon as possible, prosecute or defend to final judgment all suits instituted by or against the corporation; collect all money due the same; liquidate all lawful demands against the same, and for that purpose shall sell any property belonging to such corporation, or so much thereof as may be necessary, and generally do all acts requisite to bring to a speedy close all the affairs of the corporation.
