Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 171-B:9
- Continuance: Putting off of a hearing ot trial until a later time.
- petition: when used in connection with the equity jurisdiction of the superior court, and referring to a document filed with the court, shall mean complaint, and "petitioner" shall mean plaintiff. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 21:51
Either party may apply to the court for continuance of the hearing on a petition for involuntary admission which the court may grant for good cause shown.
