  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
The board of directors of a credit union may, by majority vote, amend the bylaws if the credit union files an application describing the proposed amendment under N.H. Rev. Stat. § 383-A:6-601 and it is permitted to do so by the commissioner based on the considerations set forth in N.H. Rev. Stat. § 383-E:3-301, as applicable.
