• Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
• County comprehensive plan: means the materials, written and/or graphic, including but not limited to maps, charts, studies, resolutions, reports and other descriptive material that identify the goals, objectives, principles, guidelines, policies, standards, devices and instruments for the immediate and long-range protection, enhancement, growth and development of the county, as may be prepared pursuant to section two hundred thirty-nine-d of this article. • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
• Real property: Land, and all immovable fixtures erected on, growing on, or affixed to the land.
• Regional planning council: means a council established pursuant to section two hundred thirty-nine-h of this article. See N.Y. General Municipal Law 239-B
