If a service provider or county participates in the statewide next generation 9-1-1 core services system, the service provider or county shall adhere to standards of the 9-1-1 program office, which may include standards created by the national emergency number association and the internet engineering task force.

- Core services: means the base set of services needed to process a 9-1-1 call on an emergency services internet-protocol network. See Ohio Code 128.01
- Internet: means the international computer network of both federal and nonfederal interoperable packet switched data networks, including the graphical subnetwork known as the world wide web. See Ohio Code 1.59
