Except as provided in ORS § 255.400 to 255.424:
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 341.356
- Board: means the board of education of a community college district. See Oregon Statutes 341.005
- Community college district: includes a community college service district. See Oregon Statutes 341.005
- district: means a district formed under this chapter to operate one or more community colleges or to secure educational services available at a community college. See Oregon Statutes 341.005
(1) ORS Chapter 255 governs the following:
(a) The nomination and election of board members.
(b) The conduct of district elections.
(2) The electors of a community college district may exercise the powers of the initiative and referendum regarding a district measure, in accordance with ORS § 255.135 to 255.205.
(3) ORS § 249.865 to 249.877 govern the recall of board members. [1983 c.350 § 206; 2019 c.449 § 27]
