(1) Subject to restrictions in the Oregon Constitution and subsection (2) of this section, any of the methods of financing authorized under this chapter or any other provision of law that is available to community college districts organized pursuant to this chapter may, in the discretion of the district board, be implemented in the district or in one or more service areas simultaneously.

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 341.608

  • Board: means the board of education of a community college district. See Oregon Statutes 341.005
  • community college: means a public institution operated by a community college district for the purposes of providing courses of study limited to not more than two years' full-time attendance and designed to meet the needs of a geographical area by providing educational services, including but not limited to career and technical education programs or lower division collegiate programs. See Oregon Statutes 341.005
  • district: means a district formed under this chapter to operate one or more community colleges or to secure educational services available at a community college. See Oregon Statutes 341.005

(2) The district may incur bonded indebtedness authorized by this section using the procedures prescribed in ORS Chapter 287A for the benefit of the district or a service area or combination of service areas of the district upon satisfaction of the conditions set forth in ORS § 341.611 and 341.613.
