Oregon Statutes 401.651 – Definitions for ORS 401.651 to 401.670
As used in ORS § 401.651 to 401.670:
Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 401.651
- Emergency: means a human created or natural event or circumstance that causes or threatens widespread loss of life, injury to person or property, human suffering or financial loss, including but not limited to:
(a) Fire, wildfire, explosion, flood, severe weather, landslides or mud slides, drought, earthquake, volcanic activity, tsunamis or other oceanic phenomena, spills or releases of oil or hazardous material as defined in ORS § 466. See Oregon Statutes 401.025
- Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
(1) ‘Health care facility’ means a health care facility as defined in ORS § 442.015 that has been licensed under ORS Chapter 441.
(2) ‘Health care provider’ means:
(a) An individual licensed, certified or otherwise authorized or permitted by the laws of this state or another state to administer health care services in the ordinary course of business or practice of a profession; and
(b) A person entered in the emergency health care provider registry under ORS § 401.658.
(3) ‘Health professional regulatory board’ means a health professional regulatory board, as defined in ORS § 676.160, the Long Term Care Administrators Board, the Board of Licensed Dietitians and the Behavior Analysis Regulatory Board.
