Oregon Statutes 561.545 – Permits for shipments of articles subject to quarantine
The State Department of Agriculture may preapprove and issue permits for shipments of articles that are subject to a quarantine if the department finds that the articles are subject to appropriate mitigation tactics or strategies that can be enforced at the point of origin for the shipment. The department may also permit and preapprove articles that are subject to department control methods adopted by rule under ORS § 570.210 or to product grades, standards or classifications adopted by the department under ORS § 632.900 to 632.940, if the department finds that the articles are subject to appropriate inspection programs at the point of origin for the shipment.
