(a) The superior court shall have jurisdiction to restrain and enjoin any employer from engaging in business as an employer in this state without a registration or registrations or after a registration has been suspended or revoked.

- Director: means the director of labor and training or his or her designee unless specifically stated otherwise. See Rhode Island General Laws 28-29-2
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(b) The director may institute proceedings to prevent and restrain violations of this chapter as provided in subsection (a).
