Terms Used In South Carolina Code 38-71-247
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

- Policy: means a contract of insurance. See South Carolina Code 38-1-20
Each health insurance issuer shall include a plain language description of the continuation of care provisions set forth in § 38-71-243 in the policy, certificate, membership booklet, outline of coverage, or other evidence of coverage it provides to covered persons.
