An oral examination is an examination in the presence of the court, tribunal, or person authorized to take testimony.

  • Person: includes natural persons, partnerships, associations, cooperative corporations, limited liability companies, and corporations. See South Dakota Codified Laws 2-14-2
  • Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
