Terms Used In Tennessee Code 30-4-101

  • Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
  • Small estate: means the estate of a decedent in which the value of the property does not exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000). See Tennessee Code 30-4-102

This chapter is known and may be cited as “The Small Estate Affidavit Limited Letter of Authority Act.”
