Terms Used In Texas Family Code 301.101
- Deposition: An oral statement made before an officer authorized by law to administer oaths. Such statements are often taken to examine potential witnesses, to obtain discovery, or to be used later in trial.
A party may request another party to designate and disclose information concerning testifying expert witnesses only through:
(1) a disclosure request served under § 301.051; or
(2) a deposition or report permitted by this subchapter.
