  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

In regard to any buildings, contents, or grounds over which the board has jurisdiction, the board has the same powers and duties it has in regard to the Capitol and the General Land Office Building, except as expressly limited by law.
