(a) If the department receives an allegation that a physician employed or under contract with the department has committed an action that constitutes a ground for the denial or revocation of the physician’s license under § 164.051, Occupations Code, the department shall report the information to the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners in the manner provided by § 154.051, Occupations Code.
(b) The department shall provide the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners with a copy of any report or finding relating to an investigation of an allegation reported to the board.
