(a) A public agency may enter into contracts to enable it to furnish or receive solid waste management services on the terms considered appropriate by the public agency’s governing body.
(b) A home-rule municipality’s charter provision restricting the duration of a municipal contract does not apply to a municipal contract that relates to solid waste management services.
