Terms Used In Texas Insurance Code 1355.052
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
This subchapter applies to a group health benefit plan that is delivered or issued for delivery in this state and that is:
(1) an accident and health insurance group policy;
(2) a group policy issued by a group hospital service corporation operating under Chapter 842; or
(3) a group health care plan provided by a health maintenance organization operating under Chapter 843.
