(a) A person insured or applying for insurance under this chapter, the person’s authorized representative, or an affected insurer that may be aggrieved by an act of the association may appeal to the board of directors not later than the 30th day after the date the act occurs. At the time the person is notified of the act, the association shall provide to the person written notice of the person’s right to appeal under this subsection.
(b) The board of directors shall:
(1) hear an appeal brought under Subsection (a) not later than the 30th day after the date the board of directors receives the appeal; and
(2) give not less than 10 days’ written notice of the time and place of the hearing to the person bringing the appeal or the person’s authorized representative.
