- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
An employer who violates § 62.051, 62.052, 62.053, or 62.054 or Subchapter C is liable to an affected employee in the amount of the unpaid wages plus an additional equal amount as liquidated damages.
