Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code 141.004
- Home-rule municipality: means a municipality designated by Chapter 5 as a home-rule municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
- Municipality: means a general-law municipality, home-rule municipality, or special-law municipality. See Texas Local Government Code 1.005
The governing body of a home-rule municipality may set the amount of compensation for each officer of the municipality.
