Terms Used In Texas Local Government Code Chapter 388 - Grant Program for Unincorporated Communities in Certain Counties
- Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
- Population: means the population shown by the most recent federal decennial census. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
