- Board: means the Texas Medical Board. See Texas Occupations Code 151.002
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Oversight: Committee review of the activities of a Federal agency or program.
The board may contract with an independent contractor to collect, verify, maintain, store, or release information. The contract must provide for board oversight and for the confidentiality of the information. If the board contracts with an independent entity that is not a governmental unit to carry out this subchapter, the independent entity is not immune from liability.
