Terms Used In Texas Occupations Code 168.053
- Board: means the Texas Medical Board. See Texas Occupations Code 151.002
- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- Physician: means a person licensed to practice medicine in this state. See Texas Occupations Code 151.002
- Rule: includes regulation. See Texas Government Code 311.005
The board shall investigate a complaint alleging a violation of this chapter or a rule adopted under this chapter by a pain management clinic certified under this chapter or a physician who owns or operates a clinic in the same manner as other complaints under this subtitle.
