(a) In this section, “licensing authority” and “occupational license” have the meanings assigned by § 58.001.
(b) If an occupational license is required for a person to engage in a business or occupation described by § 1956.123(1)(A) through (G), the licensing authority that issues the occupational license may at a reasonable time:
(1) enter the premises at which the person engages in the regulated business or occupation; and
(2) inspect the records or information required to be maintained under § 2305.153.

(c) Regardless of whether an occupational license is required, an officer of the Department of Public Safety or another peace officer may enter the premises of and inspect the records of a person described by § 1956.123(1)(A) through (G), as provided by Subsection (b).
