- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
The procedure provided by this chapter for the extension or amendment of restrictions is cumulative of and not in lieu of any other method by which restrictions of a subdivision to which this chapter applies may be extended or amended.
