- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
A corporation, by following the procedure to amend the articles of incorporation in this subchapter, including obtaining the approval of the commission, may authorize, execute, and file restated articles of incorporation as provided by this subchapter.
