(a) A subregional board shall elect from its membership a presiding officer, assistant presiding officer, and secretary.
(b) The board may appoint, as necessary, members or nonmembers as assistant secretaries.

  • Presiding officer: A majority-party Senator who presides over the Senate and is charged with maintaining order and decorum, recognizing Members to speak, and interpreting the Senate's rules, practices and precedents.

(c) The secretary or assistant secretary shall:
(1) keep permanent records of each proceeding and transaction of the board; and
(2) perform other duties assigned by the board.
