(a) Before an order may be issued under Section 473.001, the applicant for the order must give bond with security to indemnify the defendant, in case of the defendant’s acquittal, for any loss sustained by the defendant.
(b) The amount of the bond must be set by the county judge.

- Acquittal:
- Judgement that a criminal defendant has not been proved guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
- A verdict of "not guilty."
- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
(c) The bond must be approved by the county judge and shall be filed with the papers in the case.
