(a) An appeal under this subchapter is initiated by filing a petition for review with the commission and serving a copy of the petition on each party to the original rate proceeding.
(b) The appeal must be initiated not later than the 30th day after the date of the final decision by the governing body of the municipality.

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
