Terms Used In Utah Code 39A-5-215

  • Continuance: Putting off of a hearing ot trial until a later time.
  • Military: means any or all of the armed forces of the United States. See Utah Code 39A-5-102
  • Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
39A-5-215.  Military court — Continuance.
     The military judge may, upon good cause shown, grant a continuance to trial or defense counsel for a stated period of time, when a continuance appears to be just.
