- Discovery: Lawyers' examination, before trial, of facts and documents in possession of the opponents to help the lawyers prepare for trial.
- Executive: when used to describe the powers, duties, or functions of a person or body elected as the county executive or a person appointed as the county manager or administrative officer, refers to:(2)(a) the power and duty to carry laws and ordinances into effect and secure their due observance; and(2)(b) those powers, duties, and functions that, under constitutional and statutory provisions and through long usage and accepted practice and custom at the federal and state level, have come to be regarded as belonging to the executive branch of government. - False pretenses: means the representation of a fact or circumstance that is not true and is calculated to mislead. See Utah Code 13-40-102
- Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
- Grand jury: agreement providing that a lender will delay exercising its rights (in the case of a mortgage,
- Identifying information: means any information that can be used to access a person's financial accounts or to obtain goods and services, including the person's:
(7)(a)(i) address;(7)(a)(ii) birth date;(7)(a)(iii) Social Security number;(7)(a)(iv) driver license number;(7)(a)(v) non-driver governmental identification number;(7)(a)(vi) telephone number;(7)(a)(vii) bank account number;(7)(a)(viii) student identification number;(7)(a)(ix) credit or debit card number;(7)(a)(x) personal identification number;(7)(a)(xi) unique biometric data;(7)(a)(xii) employee or payroll number;(7)(a)(xiii) automated or electronic signature;(7)(a)(xiv) computer image file;(7)(a)(xv) photograph; or(7)(a)(xvi) computer screen name or password. See Utah Code 13-40-102- Internet: means the global information system that is logically linked together by a globally unique address space based on the Internet protocol (IP), or its subsequent extensions, and that is able to support communications using the transmission control protocol/Internet protocol (TCP/IP) suite, or its subsequent extensions, or other IP-compatible protocols, and that provides, uses, or makes accessible, either publicly or privately, high-level services layered on communications and related infrastructure. - Internet service provider: means :
(10)(a) an Internet service provider, as defined in Section 76-10-1230; or(10)(b) a hosting company, as defined in Section 76-10-1230. See Utah Code 13-40-102- Legislative: when used to describe the powers, duties, or functions of a county commission or council, refers to:
(3)(a) the power and duty to enact ordinances, levy taxes, and establish budgets; and(3)(b) those powers, duties, and functions that, under constitutional and statutory provisions and through long usage and accepted practice and custom at the federal and state level, have come to be regarded as belonging to the legislative branch of government. - Month: means a calendar month, unless otherwise expressed. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Person: means any individual, partnership, corporation, limited liability company, or other organization, or any combination thereof. See Utah Code 13-40-102
- Property: includes both real and personal property. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes a state, district, or territory of the United States. See Utah Code 68-3-12.5
- Webpage: means a location that has a single uniform resource locator (URL) with respect to the World Wide Web or another location that can be accessed on the Internet. See Utah Code 13-40-102
