Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 20 Sec. 28

  • All-hazards: means any natural disaster, health or disease-related emergency, accident, civil insurrection, use of weapons of mass destruction, terrorist or criminal incident, radiological incident, significant event, and designated special event, any of which may occur individually, simultaneously, or in combination and that poses a threat or may pose a threat, as determined by the Commissioner or designee, to property or public safety in Vermont.   • Department: means the Department of Public Safety. See
  • Emergency management: means the preparation for and implementation of all emergency functions, other than the functions for which the U. See
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 28. Emergency management medical program

The Department of Health is hereby directed, within the limits of appropriations and grants made to it, and in coordination with local, State, and federal emergency management officials, to plan, develop, and implement a comprehensive emergency management medical program to protect and assist the people of the State in an all-hazards event.
