- Insurance carrier: includes any corporation from which an employer has obtained workers' compensation insurance or guaranty insurance in accordance with the provisions of this chapter. See
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See
§ 698. Insurance by State and municipalities
The State and municipalities which are liable to their employees for compensation under the provisions of this chapter may insure with an authorized insurance carrier.
