Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 26 Sec. 52

  • Board: means the Board of Public Accountancy. See
  • Quorum: The number of legislators that must be present to do business.
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.

§ 52. Functioning of Board

(a) Annually, the Board shall meet to elect a chair and a secretary.

(b) Meetings may be called by the Chair and shall be called upon the request of any other two members.

(c) Meetings shall be warned and conducted in accordance with 1 Vt. Stat. Ann. chapter 5.

(d) A majority of the members of the Board shall constitute a quorum.

(e) All business may be transacted by a majority vote of the members present and voting, unless otherwise provided by statute. (Amended 1975, No. 89, § 2; 1981, No. 161 (Adj. Sess.), § 2.)
