Bequest: Property gifted by will.
Department: means the state division of human services: Provided, That beginning January 1, 2024, "department" means the Department of Human Services. See West Virginia Code 9-1-2
in writing: includes any representation of words, letters, or figures, whether by printing, engraving, writing, or otherwise. See West Virginia Code 2-2-10
Joint committee: Committees including membership from both houses of teh legislature. Joint committees are usually established with narrow jurisdictions and normally lack authority to report legislation.
Secretary: means the secretary of the Department of Health and Human Resources: Provided, That beginning January 1, 2024, "secretary" means the secretary of the Department of Human Services. See West Virginia Code 9-1-2
Services: means nursing facility services, home and community-based services, and related hospital and prescription drug services for which an individual received Medicaid medical assistance. See West Virginia Code 9-1-2
