Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 93.70

  • Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
  • Docket: A log containing brief entries of court proceedings.
  • Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
  • Person: includes all partnerships, associations and bodies politic or corporate. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
  • State: when applied to states of the United States, includes the District of Columbia, the commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the several territories organized by Congress. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
   (1)    The department may expend funds from the appropriation account under s. 20.866 (2) (wf) to improve water quality, erosion control and wildlife habitat through participation by this state in the conservation reserve enhancement program as approved by the secretary of the federal department of agriculture under 16 U.S. Code § 3834 (f) (4).
   (2)   The department may not make a payment under sub. (1) to a person whose name appears on the statewide support lien docket under s. 49.854 (2) (b), unless the person provides to the department a payment agreement that has been approved by the county child support agency under s. 59.53 (5) and that is consistent with rules promulgated under s. 49.858 (2) (a).
