Uniform Commercial Code

The Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), first published in 1952, is one of a number of acts aimed at harmonizing state laws regarding sales and commerical transactions throughout the U.S.A. It’s important to harmonize state law because most commercial transactions extend beyone one state. The UCC deals mostly with transactions involving personal property.
