- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person. See Alabama Code 1-1-1
Act 2022-133 shall not be construed to diminish or otherwise limit the power of a law enforcement officer under existing law to detain, investigate, or arrest a person for a violation of law.
