The fee for an application for initial certification or renewal under this article shall not exceed the amount necessary to cover administration and enforcement costs incurred by the board in carrying out this article. The listed fee may be prorated based upon the date of the renewal of the dentist’s license or permit.

Terms Used In California Business and Professions Code 1647.23

  • board: means any entity listed in Section 101, the entities referred to in Sections 1000 and 3600, the State Bar, the Department of Real Estate, and any other state agency that issues a license, certificate, or registration authorizing a person to engage in a business or profession. See California Business and Professions Code 31
  • Certification: means the issuance of a certificate to a dentist licensed by the board who provides the board with his or her name and the location at which the administration of oral conscious sedation will occur, and fulfills the requirements specified in Sections 1647. See California Business and Professions Code 1647.18
  • license: means license, certificate, registration, or other means to engage in a business or profession regulated by this code or referred to in Section 1000 or 3600. See California Business and Professions Code 23.7
