- Board: means the Respiratory Care Board of California. See California Business and Professions Code 3704
- Department: means the Department of Consumer Affairs. See California Business and Professions Code 3704
- Fiduciary: A trustee, executor, or administrator.
- Respiratory care: includes "respiratory therapy" or "inhalation therapy" where those terms mean respiratory care. See California Business and Professions Code 3704
- Respiratory therapy school: means a program reviewed and approved by the board. See California Business and Professions Code 3704
- Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
- trustees: means the Trustees of the California State University, created under Section 66600. See California Education Code 89000
