Terms Used In Hawaii Revised Statutes 712-1213

  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.

The fact that a person engaged in the conduct specified by § 712-1211 is prima facie evidence that the person engaged in that conduct with knowledge of or in reckless disregard of the character, content, or connotation of the material which is displayed.
