Sec. 0.3. As used in this chapter, “dependent” means:
(2) an individual whose legal guardian is a person described in section 1 of this chapter.
(1) a biological child, adopted child, or stepchild of a person described in section 1 of this chapter; or

- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
