Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 75-3361

  • Appraisal: A determination of property value.
  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • Personal property: includes money, goods, chattels, evidences of debt and things in action, and digital assets as defined in the revised uniform fiduciary access to digital assets act, Kan. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • Personal property: All property that is not real property.
  • Property: includes personal and real property. See Kansas Statutes 77-201
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Kansas Statutes 77-201

The secretary may sell or lease such personal property located on or at the real estate described in Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-3359 for one dollar and other good and valuable consideration and without the necessity of appraisal, bid or publication. Sale or lease of such personal property pursuant to this act shall be exempt from the requirements of Kan. Stat. Ann. § 75-6601 et seq. and amendments thereto (the state surplus property act).
